Time, after, Mobile, Every, issues, hyper, alignment, lumbar

Out of alignment every time after sex? (hyper mobile w/ lumbar issues)?

This is a pretty embarrassing question to be asking, but I figured I'd feel a lot more comfortable asking (kind of) anonymously online rather face-to-face with my physical therapist. :P

I've been in PT for about 3 months now for my lumbar/lower back/spine. I have no history of injury, no accident, just diagnosed with hyper mobility at my first PT appointment. I go to PT 2-3 times a week and am out of alignment nearly every time. I'm very much more so out of whack after my boyfriend and I have been intimate. It's not even the kind of sex where you'd think you'd get thrown out of alignment - my boyfriend is very well aware that the slightest movement places me out of alignment and has my nerves pinched to the point where I can't move, sit, stand, etc. The sex is gentle, slow-paced, not rough at all, missionary position only...and yet each time afterwards, when I go to PT next, I am even worse off out of alignment than before.

What can I do to fix this? Should we change positions? Will this become less and less over time as I keep doing the strengthening exercises, or is this a problem I'll have for the rest of my life? =/

Aww i'm sorry hun I have Scoliosis and my whole back snaps in and out of place and it does get very painful. Can you pop your back? I learned how to pop my own back and that's what keeps me going through the day. I literally snap everything back in place. Try sitting up straight and basically push your bottom down using your muscle and that will make it pop. Also sit down on a chair hang on to it and go right to left pushing your body as far as it will stretch. Use a wall or something to twist. You could also pick up a heavy object and swing your body to each side and that weigh will pop it. Also you could get on the floor and basically stretch like a cat tail bone in the air. That's all my popping techniques.
For the sex try basically spooning and put one of your legs over his that's not so rough on your back. Also try laying face down and have a pillow under your chest and 2 pillows above your pelvis to get elevated and have him on top.
